LUIZ EDUARDO PONTUAL MARX
Luiz Eduardo Pontual Marx: Artist, consultant, storyteller, guide, and naturopath.
Born in Brazil, Luiz is a Spanish national who divides his time between Catalonia (Spain) and Occitania (France). From a young age, he has had a keen interest in the arts, history, archaeology, plants, and traditional knowledge relating to health, wellbeing, and spirituality.
The son of an artist, he grew up in a creative and bohemian environment. From an early age, he was passionate about his palettes, brushes and paints, the tools with which he brought his paintings and dreams to life. He spent much of his childhood by the sea, immersed in unspoilt, magnificent nature. The sea and the jungle became ingrained in his blood and heart, shaping the man he is today: a walker, navigator, watercolorist, pilgrim, guide, and alchemist, driven by art, history, archaeology, nature and a constant spiritual quest.
His life as an artist and a lover of the sea — a being half marine and half terrestrial — led him to spend more than 50 years living with traditional communities. At that time, these communities still lived in tribal systems and in perfect harmony along the little-explored and difficult-to-access Brazilian Atlantic coast.
As an adult, he devoted himself to developing cultural revitalization projects through art with indigenous and native communities in the Atlantic and Amazon rainforests, working as an artist and consultant. This presented the perfect opportunity to pursue his greatest interests: culture, ancestral spirituality, healing and cures, and the traditional medicine and harmonious customs of our indigenous peoples.
He had many companions from these shores and from across the ocean, including guides, teachers, healers, medicine men and women, and shamans. He experienced healing and learning with elders, spiritual leaders, and holy beings, who blessed him with the opportunity to drink from their knowledge.
Based on all these experiences, Luiz has created the **‘MAGDALENA ESSENCES PROJECT’**, which we present here.
Luiz dedicates this work and his gratitude to:

* His beloved Grandmother Margarita, who led him through the winds of shamanism to quantum physics, and in her day named him ‘The Wings Cleaner’.
