Luiz has been an artist since he was a child. His mother painted, as did his daughter, Eliza Marx.
He has spent much of his life on the coast and in the tropical and equatorial jungles of Brazil.
During his travels, he lived intensely with the natives and indigenous peoples of the Atlantic and Amazonian rainforests. Through drawings, watercolors, and photographs, he portrayed their culture, habits, and customs, as well as the scenic beauty of their surroundings.
Living in Europe, he has explored ancient paths by sea and mountain, through the north of the peninsula, the Pyrenees, and the south of France.
His main interests are places of powerful telluric and sacred energy.
Today, his main artistic objective is to depict places of spiritual and telluric importance. This is how he illustrates his research on the ancient pilgrimage routes of Europe, as well as the most important sacred places of the indigenous peoples of North America and the Amazon, through which he passes for part of the year, with his project of experiencing life through ecological, ethnological, and cultural journeys.
Through his watercolors he seeks to capture the healing energies that emanate from these natural and monumental spaces, using waters with special energies to enhance the healing power that vibrates from each of his paintings.
Some of these paintings and photographs are available as originals or as limited-edition Fine Art quality prints on paper.
Luiz has a pilgrim spirit and, in his essence, the connection with nature and its original, vital, intense, and transmuting energy, are the main sources that inspire his life and works.
The artist facilitates holistic art workshops, with watercolors in Cadaquès in Catalonia, the United States of America, and on his travels to the Brazilian Amazon.
